A few time TeamViewer has changed ID’s on me. (Not exactly sure why) But if you can get a command prompt on the machine you can get the ID out using the following query.
- Watch this video to learn how to connect to a remote computer using the Teamviewer ID and password. Add Computers & Contacts. The Computers & Contacts list is like your “address book” for TeamViewer IDs and contacts. Add the TeamViewer accounts of your customers, coworkers, or business partners that you contact regularly.
- Unable to connect to remote Flame session using TeamViewer. TeamViewer is not showing numbers for the ID or password. TeamViewer was previously working correctly. Rebooting does not resolve issue. To launch TeamViewer with the ID and password populated, perform the following 3 steps. Stop TeamViewer process (PID). Pkill -f TeamViewer Cycle TeamViewer daemon. Systemctl restart teamviewerd Click.
- Open TeamViewer and navigate to Extras Options. Now, go to the Security tab and change the password under ‘Permanent Password for Unattended access’. You can now get a permanent ID by setting up permanent access from the Home Screen. Doing this generates a new password, but the permanent password which we created before remains an alias.
If there are “Microsoft” or “Microsoft” certified technicians don't give them any information just hang up. But if your friend or family wants to help out your computer then sure but use caution and don't trust me always be safe.
UPDATE: Get the latest version here that pulls back the ID for even the latest TeamViewer 13.
